These all produce linear results.
1d8+7 (8-15; avg. 11.5) - Pretty good fantasy average. Probably what I will use next game.
1d10 + 6 (7-16; avg. 11.5) - Still pretty good average, but with more potential negatives
1d10 + 7 (8-17; avg. 12.5) - the linear version of 3d6 bell curve avg.
1d10 + 8 (9-18; avg. 13.5) - Very high fantasy.
If the bonuses don't add up to +3, re-roll.
I wonder what others have come up with.... ;-)

Long Live D&D 3.5!
Dungeons and Dragons v3.5 isn't dead! Even though many people have gone the way of Pathfinder or 4e, 3.5 is still, to me, a great system worth playing.
In this blog, I will publish my contemplations and what not regarding v3.5. Hopefully, those who love the game will also want to comment. Note: this is NOT the place for Pathfinder or 4e trollers!
Hope you enjoy the read!
